Lately I have been inundated with wedding enquiries for dates I am already booked. Therefore, today's tip is about how to secure your date with your venue AND your favourite photographer!

First. The early bird catches the worm.
The most obvious thing is to get in early. Most of my clients have booked me a year or more in advance.

Second. Do you need a Saturday?
Saturdays always book out first. Consider whether you need to get married on a Saturday. Friday and Sunday weddings are becoming increasingly popular, with midweek bookings also on the rise. Non-traditional days will see better availability from all your wedding suppliers.

Third. Share the love.
Have a few dates in mind. Couples will often contact me with three or four dates in mind. I confirm my availabilities which allows the couple to have options should their first choice be unavailable with the venue.

Your wedding photos (and the bling on your finger) will be the only thing you're still looking at fifty years down the track. Don't miss out on securing the photographer you love!
